Microbiology Diagnostic Decision Support System
The Microbiology Diagnostic Decision Support System is a full-featured, enterprise-grade clinical decision support platform built with Django that assists microbiology laboratories in identifying microorganisms through intelligent, rule-based analysis of diagnostic test results. The platform serves multiple user roles with role-based dashboards and permissions, including medical technologists (performing identifications), microbiologists (managing knowledge base), administrators (system configuration, user management), and auditors (reviewing identification sessions). Key features include a comprehensive knowledge base of microorganisms with over 150+ profiles including Gram stain, acid-fast, morphology, and biochemical test characteristics, a sophisticated decision engine with weighted scoring algorithms and hard elimination rules, specialized diagnostic algorithms for Gram-positive cocci, Enterobacteriaceae, non-fermenters, acid-fast bacteria, and anaerobes, intelligent test suggestion engine that recommends next diagnostic tests to differentiate candidate organisms, uncertainty analysis with confidence intervals and score distribution metrics, API-first architecture with JWT and API key authentication, comprehensive audit logging of all identification sessions, clinical case validation against known diagnostic cases, automated performance monitoring and algorithm validation, real-time identification with confidence scoring (0.0-1.0), multi-parameter filtering and search across the knowledge base, and a responsive web interface built with React and Django templates. The platform leverages Django REST Framework for API communication, Celery for asynchronous task processing (report generation, notifications), and provides a REST API for integration with laboratory information systems (LIS).
M-Pesa Finance Manager – Full-Stack Financial Platform (Django + Vue)
A complete full-stack financial management platform. The backend (Django + DRF + Channels) provides a RESTful API with real-time WebSockets, Celery async tasks, and AI-powered analytics (using NumPy). It integrates with the M-Pesa Daraja API for STK Push payments. The frontend (Vue 3) consumes this API, offering an interactive single-page application for users to track transactions, budgets, savings goals, and receive live notifications. I built with scalability and security in mind while adhering to OSWAP best practices.
School Administration System
I build this complete role‑based school management platform with Django. It is a role based system for teachers, school administration, secretary and burser for finance management, and student portal with ability to add other roles like for school workers. It centralises student records, teacher assignments, academic marks (auto‑graded from CATs and exams), financial management with M‑Pesa STK Push payments, internal messaging, holiday notices, and performance trend analytics. Admins have a full control dashboard; teachers enter marks and view their classes; students see results, fee balances, and messages. Designed with production‑ready settings (environment‑based configs, PostgreSQL support, WhiteNoise, SSL/CSRF) and a modern admin interface via Django Unfold. Uses the django templating system for the frontend.
Guru Palace - Restaurant & Catering Management Platform
Guru Palace is a comprehensive, full-stack restaurant management platform built with Django (backend) and Vue.js (frontend) that handles the entire customer journey—from discovering the menu and making reservations to planning special events with catering services. The platform serves multiple user roles with role-based dashboards and permissions, including customers (booking, menu browsing), restaurant staff (managing reservations, catering requests), and administrators (content management, system configuration). Key features include real-time reservation booking with availability checking, a visually rich menu display with dietary filtering and item customization, a catering inquiry system with package building and quote estimation, customer accounts with favorites and loyalty program, content management system (CMS) for pages and blog posts, structured data (Schema.org) for SEO optimization, automated email confirmations and reminders via Celery, and a fully responsive Vue.js frontend with Tailwind CSS. The system leverages Django REST Framework for API communication, Celery for asynchronous task processing (email notifications, reminders), and provides a REST API for mobile app integration.
